Last Sunday we had to say goodbye to our beloved friend Rene Mc Donald. She passed away peacefully at the age of 86 after a short illness. She dedicated her whole life to animals and animal welfare by collecting donations at markets. She financed castrations for street cats, participated in expensive operations and bought food for animals whose people, for whatever reason, became destitute.

Rene never looked away and offered her helping hands whenever they were needed. With her optimism she always made us laugh and those who knew her will remember by smiling how she was able to motivate people to donate money for the stray animals with a lot of charm.

Thank you, Rene, for letting us get to know you, we walked together for many years and loved you very much.
